- I am a musician who plays music from the Near- and Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. I own a frightening number of ethnic musical instruments, most of which I can play passably, and some exceedingly well. I have a myriad of other hobbies that keep me busy, some of those are listed on this page. I'm a person who chooses friends very carefully, and views civility as more than a nice idea - I actually practice it in real life.
